Northern California fly fishing is undoubtedly some of the best in the world. From
the trout filled streams of the Sierra’s to the Sacramento Valley rivers that host a
variety of anadromous species -- fly fishing in Northern California has something
for everyone, each and every day of the year.
I’m pleased to be able to offer you guided trips on the American River, Feather
River and Yuba River as well as a slew of small streams in the Sierra’s.
Fly fishing on the American River consists of nymphing and skating dries for
steelhead, swinging for shad and salmon and stripping for stripers. On the
Feather River, nymphing is the preferred tactic for steelhead and the salmon
will happily take a properly presented egg pattern. The Yuba River is our “go to”
stream for wild rainbow trout all year long. Dries, nymphs and streamers have
all been proven producers. And fly fishing in the Sierra’s provides unsurpassed
beauty as well as a bevy of brook, brown, cutthroat and rainbow trout.
So, as you can see, the opportunities for fly fishing in Northern California are
virtually limitless. Just give me a call or send me an email and we can discuss the
many options that await you.
