Yuba River
Located just 15 minutes outside Marysville in Northern California, flows one of the finest year ‘round tailwater fisheries in the state – the Yuba River. Complete with boulder strewn riffles, sharp drop-offs and long runs, the Yuba River is a fly fisherman’s paradise. We’ll float the Yuba River from the Hwy 20 bridge down to Daguerre dam, accessing all the best spots on the river. The Yuba River gets a small run of salmon and steelhead in the Fall but it’s the mighty, wild Yuba rainbows that we seek. There’s an abundance of hatches on the Yuba throughout the year. Skwala stoneflies, BWO’s, PMD’s, caddis, March Browns and the Summer hoppers provide a veritable smorgasbord for the Yuba’s chunky ‘bows. The fish typically range from 10 to 20 inches and they’ll provide you with a day’s worth of fun and excitement.
